How to Care for Gold-Plated Earrings

Gold plating is a thin layer. It lasts a long time if you protect it from three things: water, chemicals and friction.

Put them on last

Wear them after perfume, lotion, sunscreen and hairspray have dried.

Take them off

Remove them before swimming, showering, exercise or sleep.

Wipe after wearing

A soft, dry cloth is enough. Do not use jewellery dips or abrasive cleaners.

Store them apart

Keep each pair in the pouch or box it arrived in, away from damp.
